Buenos Aires Presents Tax Reform Package to Attract Investments

In line with the deregulation policies promoted by the Casa Rosada, the 'La Libertad Avanza' (LLA) bloc in the Buenos Aires City Legislature, led by Pilar Ramírez, presented a package of bills aimed directly at the porteño tax structure. This includes the RIMI (Regime for Investments of Micro and Small Enterprises) and local adherence to the national RIGI. As the legislator for the district announced on her social networks, the central objective of the initiative is to reduce the tax burden to prevent investments coming into the country from choosing other districts with lower operational costs. Pilar Ramírez (LLA CABA) stated on her social networks: 'The City cannot be left behind in the face of the wave of investments arriving thanks to the work of Javier Milei.' The main points include: reducing the rates of Gross Income Tax and the Real Estate Tax for productive sectors; eliminating administrative barriers and registrations that hinder the opening of new businesses. To this package of initiatives, a boost to credit lines and investment tools is added for those seeking to expand their installed capacity in the porteño territory. She pointed out that unlike in La Rioja and the province of Buenos Aires, the City had not adhered to the RIGI. For this reason, LLA will insist on this initiative. Regarding the RIMI, she said it is fundamental to foster investments in SMEs and 'to accompany those who seek to grow, who generate employment, who want to incorporate technology,' as the deputy specified in her announcement. The libertarian legislators' project, in this context, proposes a significant pruning of taxes that 'today suffocate local commerce and industry'.
